Yesterday was a gorgeous fall day. The type of days I live for, not too warm and not too cool, the sun was shining and the little clouds were puffy and white.
My husband's aunt lives outside of the city nestled in the hills away from all the hustle and bustle. It's just lovely out on their property. I always find myself never wanting to go home. I just want to sit amoung the trees and watch the clouds go by, hear the birds sing sweetly and enjoy the peace.
Each year they invite friends , family and neighbors over for a Cider Party. Everyone takes turns pressing apples and making cider. Bring your jug and fill it up!
It is a great time and all the kids love trying the press out. It's so good. We drink tons while we are there. This year the boys tried some too!! Atticus was not pleased with his first taste and Jack was too busy to really drink any. Jack had such a great time he never wanted to leave either. He had kids to chase, things to climb, apples & pears to eat right off the tree and lots of space to run! Atticus was not having the best day and was just snuggly.
I have tons of photos of all the amazing flowers and of Jack's explorations I could post and maybe I will later when I can edit them down a bit. But it was a wonderful day and it ended with tasty shakes from the Clayton Drive In. So good!!
